Open: First and third Sunday of the month 9.00-13.00 Description: Founded in 1869, it was the first museum of its kind in Italy and contains priceless ethnological material from all over the world. Objects and artifacts, Abyssinian paintings, statues, weapons, Eskimo implements, Asian ceramics, antique Mexican sculpture, avory. Some of the highlights; objects owned by Captain Cook, a rare collection on the disappearance of the Kafiri (Pakistan) culture and the Mariani collection of objects and clothing of the Ainu from the Japanese island of Hokkaido. |
