Description: Science museum, founded in 1775, with important general and specialised zoological collections (very rich in the lepidopterists collection); the dioramas; the collection of the Count of Turin’s hunting trophies. A famous collection of wax anatomical parts, which are impressively realistic, made by the famous Tuscan wax moulders from the Sudini school, from the 17th to 19th centuries, and from the Sicilian Gaetano Zumbo (1656-1701), a real visionary, who also worked in the court of the Sun King. Nobody has created with so much commitment and so much amazing truth the contours of the faces of the dead (famous pieces: "The Plague", "The Corrosion of the bodies", "The triumph of time", etc.).
