Open: 9-12.30 and 15-18.30 (in winter 17). Closed on Wednesday. Description: The museum is installed in the former refectory of the convent close to the cloisters (architecture by Brunelleschi, Rossellino and Michelozzo) and contains the famous "Crucifix" by Cimabue, which was seriously damaged by the flood of 1966 but now completely restored, frescoes by Taddeo Gaddi, Orcagna, Domenico Veneziano, sculptures by Tino di Camaino and Donatello, terra-cotta by Giuliano da Maiano and Andrea della Robbia. The "Cappella de'Pazzi" by Brunelleschi, began in 1443, houses decorations by Desiderio da Settignano and Luca della Robbia. |
