Open: 10-17 - Sundays and public holidays 10-17. Closed on Monday. Description: An unusual Gothic building, originally a grain storehouse and transformed into a church (San Michele in Orto) in 1380. The exterior is adorned with mullioned windows and 14C-16C statues dedicated to the partron Saints of art, sculptured by Nanni di Banco, Ghiberti, Giambologna, Verrocchio, B. di Montelupo and Donatello. Inside is the famous "Tabernacolo" by A. Orcagna, the utmost expression of Gothic style in Florence. A "Madonna" by B.Daddi.
