Open: Hours of the chapel: 9-12.30 and 15-17; Sundays 9-12. Closed on Wednesday. Description: A splendid Renaissance palazzo built to the plans of Michelozzo (1444-64) on the orders of Cosimo de' Medici, where Lorenzo il Magnifico held court. Some of its windows are attributed to Michelangelo. Its harmonious interior provides a magnificent setting for periodical exhibitions. Note the "Cappella" by Michelozzo, adorned with admirable frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, depicting the story of the Magi (many of the figures are potraits of the Medici) and the "Galleria" with its Baroque style fresco by Luca Giordano in 1683.
