Opened in 1992 and housed in a Medieval building adjoining the Torre del Diavolo, the museum is arranged according to educational criteria and consists of historical material illustrating torture in the course of ages and the deeds of the Inquisition. It includes a collection of torture instruments, both originals and reproductions, from the 17th century until today, Medieval costumes, prints and documents. The material concerning the Inquisition in particularly interesting.
