The museum gathers various archaeological material illustrating the history and culture of the area in the period between the Bronze Age and the Late Roman Period. It exhibits a number of archaeological finds from 8th- to the 6th-century BC Etruscan necropolises, 5th-century BC grave goods, Attic vases, architectural slabs of Augustan Age, and a Late Republican travertine statue. Particularly interesting is the reconstruction of a grave with two canopic vases from Macchiapiana.
