Arezzo and the Unity of Italy

The French dominance finished in the XIX century and after the Italian unifcation the city of Arezzo became a place of commercial activites, saw the rebirth of hand crafted products and became newly rich due the industrial headquarters of many factories - all thanks to the construction of the Rome to Florence railway line. All of this without losing its connections to its agricultural zones and the old traditions in the culinary arts - which is less diffuse but continues to be enjoyed by the people of this area and not being tied to the necessity of daily life as in the past.
