Roseto Capo Spulico, bordered by the ruins of the old wall, stands in an extremely picturesque location. While perched on a rocky cliff, with a sheer drop to the sea, is the old fortification of a castle, datinp perhaps from the 16th century, and havinp towers of various shapes, turrets and mullioned wind ows.
This is considered an important example of military arichitecture in Calabria. At the point where the beach widens out, near the delta of the river Ferro, one can find Marina di Roseta.
A little further an lies Cape Spulico, topped by the ruins of the tower that takes its narpe from the tiny promontory.
