Brancaleone - It is the first nursery for the "caretta caretta" turtles to be held in Italy and it is in Brancaleone, along the jonic Riviera in Calabria.
Aim of the initiative - realized thanks to CTS (recovery centre for turtles) included in a project called "tartanet" - is the protection of turtles nests menaced by dangers coming from the nature or caused by human actions.
The project is interested in monitoring the nests with the eggs during their two months gestation under the sand.
