A pretty and charming little town situated on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine range at an altitude of 700 m. The principal back-drop for those arriving here is represented by the unpolluted, natural green vegetation which surrounds it. In fact, it is rich with woods of chestnut trees, as well as firs and beech, ideal for excursions and walks in direct contact with nature. In the surrounding area there are a number of places to visit: the Boccadirio Sanctuary, the Brasimone and Suviana lakes, the Cottede forest, and others besides.
