The Municipality of Roccabianca is comprised of the main town of the same name and by the country wards of Fontanelle, Ragazzola, Stagno and Fossa. The economy is strongly dedicated to agriculture and reaches points of excellence in cattle rearing, in the traditional production of Parmigiano-Reggiano Parmesan cheese and in its typical charcuterie, including the Culatello di Zibello DOP ham. Roccabianca, a characteristic village of distant Roman origins, has for its symbol the monumental Fortress from the fourteen hundreds which was erected by Pier Maria Rossi for his beloved Bianca Pellegrini.
The rooms of the fortress, now restored in part, were once frescoed: Griselda's room is particularly famous. Opposite the castle opens up the fine old Piazza del Mercato market square, today, Piazza Minozzi, which is a porticoed structure from the seventeen hundreds. To one side, and looking onto another piazza, there is the Parish Church dedicated to the Saints Bartolomeo and Michele; this dates back to the XVIth century and was restored in the XVII hundreds. The Rococo style high altar is particularly fine.
