From the ancient salt town to the modern tourist town
Surrounded by the Adriatic, the salt-pans and the green pinewoods, Cervia, the antique "salt-town", has transformed itself over the years into a modern seaside resort.
In 1912, the creation of the "garden city", Milano Marittima, played an important part in the development of the town's tourism. Since then, dedication to hospitality has earned Cervia Milano Marittima fourth position among the top Italian tourist centres due to its welcome reception and fine services.
