The municipality of Prata di Pordenone is situated in the region's lower plains, Southwest of Pordenone, on the confluence of the Livenza and Meduna rivers. Prata's first settlement dates around the late Middle Ages and its whole history revolve around the family of the same name. To visit: the Church dedicated to Santa Lucia, it was erected in 1530 and over the centuries it has maintained most of its original features; the Church dedicated to S. Giovanni dei Cavalieri, erected by the Order of the Knigths of Malta in 1320; the Church
dedicated to S. Simone, it is very ancient. Villa Morosini is Prata's best
examples of Veneto style villas. And then Villa Brunetti with her frescoes of
significant value and a park adorned with statues.
Prata di Pordenone belongs to a territory which is made up of three diverse municipalities: Prata, Brugnera and Pasiano, in which prevails the furniture making industry. The whole area plus the Sacile's territory is better known as the "Zona del Mobile" or funiture makers district.
