Sella Nevea is the high-altitude mountain resort in the Tarvisio district. Cradled at the foot of Mount Canin and beneath the Prevala Valley, which holds the little glacier of the same name - the lowest one in the Alps - Sella Nevea is connected by panoramic highways kept open the year round with Chiusaforte, through Val Raccolana on the west (Carnia or Pontebba autostrada toll booths), and with Cave del Predil on the east (Tarvisio autostrada connection). Sella Nevea is a popular winter skiing resort where, in years with good snow cover, skiing is also practiced in the summer.
