Blera is a little village in the district of Viterbo, near Roma. It is set in an uncontaminated landscape, full of ancient remains. It seems to be an oasis suspended among mountains, lakes and the sea. You can go for walks and trips to the different etruscan necropolis which are scattered in all the territory: della rocca bridge, terrone, martarello and so on. You can't miss the wonderful walk along the torrent biedano and the visit to Civitella Cesi which seems to be a return to a primitive world suspended among centuries. You can see here the excavations of S. Giovenale carried out by the swedish institute under the direction of the king Gustave of Sweden. Not very far from Blera you can see Barbarano Romano with its natural park full of different species of animals, like the fox, the badger and the hawk you can't absolutely miss the visit to S. Giuliano's Necropolis, to the famous Cima's tomb and to the others one which fill the territory. Besides you have also the opportunity to reach some famous places near Blera with just a dayly trip. In fact, in half an hour, you can reach the wonderful Vico lake, Viterbo, with its middle-aged fascination, Tarquinia with its famous painted tombs and Bomarzo with the nice parkof monster.
