The most beautiful Old Port in the world
You should arrive here at sunset, maybe a warm spring sunset, when the sky is slowly becoming red and the sun disappears behind the glassy towers of San Benigno and the sea is light purple and grey. All around, the terraced town embraces the bay where she once came from. From this bay Genoa was born a second time. Today the Porto Antico, the old port, is no more a port of call, but acts as a leisure and cultural centre, where Genoese and tourists stroll every day, every hour.
They love the shops where one can find everyting, the cafés and the restaurants, which offer international and Genoese food, placed near the Magazzini del Cotone, the tourist port and the old Molo quarter.
