Cepina, a hamlet in the Municipality of Valdisotto, is located just a few Km from Bormio in the Alta Valle dell'Adda (the Upper Adda Valley). In the parish church of Cepina, built in the thirteen-hundreds but restructured in the fifteen-hundreds, there is a gilded wooden ancona by a German artist of the XVIth century which is worthy of note.
Next to the parish church, there is a ossuary from the seventeen-hundreds with a splendid gateway in wrought iron made between 1726 and 1727 by Giuseppe Pini. Inside the ossuary, there are frescoes by Alessandro Valdani.
From Cepina, it is possible to reach the Campaccio valley by passing through the hamlets of Santa Maria Maddalena and the built up areas of Tiola and Monte, from where one continues on to the Alpe Campaccio and the lake of the same name. Worth mentioning is the large mineral water works at Piazza.
