Now included as part of Asti's territory, formerly this town was held by Vinchio's lords. Surrendered to Asti in the year 1213, the Scarampifamily were invested with it and, with the exception of the Viconte-Orleans period, they continued to hold it also for the following centuries.
Then, in 1635, the castle was attacked by the bandit Stefano Re and was further passed on to the Savoia's in 1736. The parish church is dedicated to the Saints Mark and Vincent and was constructed back in the seventeen hundreds.
