The municipality of Sorso forms part of the north western territory of the Sassarese, just a few minutes from the sea and a sandy, coastal stretch rich in dunes and abundant vegetation.
The historic centre of the town, of medieval origin is called Bicocca and consists of numerous dwellings built of calcareous tufa. Places to see: the Parish church of San Pantaleo, the small lake of Platamona, the Palazzo Baronale and the Billellera fountain. An interesting and curious feature of the town is certainly the mixed dialects of Sardinian, Tuscan and Genoan.
