Also very interesting is Rabit Island, joint by some layers of sand with Lampedusa. Next to the small uninhabited island there is the splendid white sandy beach where every year the Turtle Caretta Caretta goes to lay the eggs. Going on with the tour around the island we find Cala Pulcino, set in a deep valley, with its shingle beach under which are small springs of drinking-water. The Northern part of the Island is out of reach because of its deep cliffs, that show the different layers of formation in calcareous territory.
Besides Capo Ponente there is the Scoglio del Faraglione emerging from the deep cobalt sea-waters; between Punta Cappellone and Punta Alaimo, there is the view of dramatic sharp slope suspended by means of six sea-cave archades: the most particular and suggestive one, with its two entrances, can be easily visited by small boats.
Here you will be welcomed with typical hospitality and friendliness to a large selection of accommodation facilities.
