Campofelice di Roccella is a small town in the province of Palermo which, in ancient times, was not much more than a hamlet along the coast, and only became larger in the 1600's. Thanks to the extremely fertile land, the strong point of this town is its agricultural sector, especially in the production of citrus fruits, tomatoes, artichokes, olives and other vegetables.
The most interesting monuments of Campofelice di Roccella are the Chiesa Madre (Mother Church) of the 1700's; the Torre-Castello (Castle Tower), which was erected by the Arabs and then became an important point for military defence and observation; the Roccella Tower.
