The Fiaccole di Natale - The Fiaccole di Natale (Christmas torches) is an ancient and impressive tradition, commemorating the time when the inhabitants of the villages situated around the abbey, used, in the Christmas night, to light up fires in order to warm up themselves.
In the historical centre, at 7 p.m., over 40 "pyres" of 10-15 quintals of wood each will burn up to the dawn, with processions, Christmas songs and gastronomic stands.
