Saturnia is an old village with more than 2000 years of Historical background, nearly completely forgotten today and where now the sun, the wind and the silence are the real owners. Worthy of note are the remains of medieval walls also including the Roman door, the Parish church with paintings belonging to 1400.
Saturnia is well known for its thermal waters of sulfureous nature, springing in a valley at about 5 kilometers from the village, also formig a picturesque waterfall. The bath in the warm thermal water is recommended for different pains and for skin diseases.
