B&B Podere Badia

In the green woody countryside of Florence, called Mugello, there's the Maniero Podere Badia in the Val Drago Valley. Mugello is a place full of history and art near Florence. It's the birthplace of many famous and illustrious people, among them the Medici Family. Podere Badia is located on the top of a hill in the midst of nature, an oasis of peace and privacy, yet not too far from the most important small towns of the area, Scarperia, Borgo San Lorenzo, Autodromo Ferrari and Moto Gp.
Looking out of the windows, you can admire a breathtaking scenario, of rolling hills and mountains. The structure is surrounded by 17 hectares of land with chestnut trees, olive-orchards and conifers woods, where you can find tasting porcini mushrooms. You may walk or mountain bike across the many traced mountain paths, breathing and filling your lungs of fresh and crispy air.
You can also have a refreshing swim in the private swimming pool or have a sun bath laying down on a comfortable deck-chair. The construction of the Manor began in the far 9th century as a watch-tower home, later in the same century, an order of nuns adapted the structure to a summer-abbey residence. After the nuns it belonged to local wealthy aristocrats, which used it as a hunting home. The restructure was planned carefully in every detail by a qualified firm, maintaining as much as possible by the original structure and using wright-materials of our culture.
