Originally built as a hunting lodge, La Prata is a large stone villa which dates back to 1860. It is surrounded by a wide garden with hundred-year old trees. The villa is situated at 3 km from Montalcino. Visitors can enjoy a natural scenario of rare beauty among woods and Brunello vineyard hills sloping down to Maremma.
The owners of the villa offer B&B hospitality in bedrooms of the mansion with the desire to share with their guests the pleasant and relaxing atmosphere of the house. They give them the opportunity of staying not only for the weekend but also for long periods to enjoy life in the countryside and take part in winemaking of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino which the farmhouse produces and mainly exports to the USA.
Villa Le Prata is also the ideal place for visitors to write, study or learn Italian with a personal teacher at their own disposal.
The large and bright bedrooms are equipped with central heating, and double glazing windows. Large sitting rooms, the private library in the house, internet connection and a large garden are at the guests' disposal. Wine tasting is also possible. Autumn months are the best to enjoy grapes harvesting and winemaking.
