Visit Sesto Fiorentino, flourishing industrial town (ceramics and crafts) just outside Florence. The ancient parish church of San Martino, which dates from the IX century, is particularly interesting, as well as the Palazzetto Pretorio with its facade decorated with many of the ancient coats of arms of the podestas.
From Sesto Fiorentino one can take the Colli Alti panoramic route to the top of Mount Morello, with its wonderful views over the vale of Florence.
