Naturns is a lovely little country town nestling at the foot of the Tessa Natural Park and surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards. Walkers and bikers delight in the well-marked paths through the local countryside and along the mountain slopes, out in the warm sunshine or in the shady, perfumed woods.
There are excellent facilities for sport and other free-time activities, both open-air and covered tennis courts, a spacious public swimming pool, a river rafting and rock-climbing school, mini golf, horse riding and summer skiing on the nearby Senales glacier.
Visitors interested in culture may choose from numerous places of historic and artistic interest, various castles and, especially, the romantic little St. Proculus church with its much-praised frescoes - the oldest in all the German- speaking regions.
