- Rosengarten/Latemar (800-2500 m)
Ski Area Karersee (1200-2350 m)
Obereggen/Ski Center Latemar (1550-2500 m)
The ski resort area of Carezza (upper Val d'Ega, 1200-2350 m) beneath the fantastic mountain walls of the Catinaccio, has various modern lift systems and 40 km of slopes which are particularly suitable for families as well as grass ski champions (these may enjoy use of the new "Kinderland Konig Laurin"). The winter Latemar ski circuit (LavazŔ-Pampeago pass 1550-2500 m) can boast of numerous ski lift systems and a total of 50 km of magnificent pistes with snow guaranteed from the beginning of December to mid April. Both of the two nearby towns are included in the Dolomiti-Superski system. For those who still have energy leftover in the evening, three times a week at Obereggen, the ski slopes and snow sled tracks are illuminated! In the two areas, there are also 80 km of beautiful cross country ski tracks, 100 km of pathways for winter excursions (there are now dedicated weeks at Tires) and fast tracks for snow sleds. The typical ski lodges and Alpine huts offer entertainment, and there are all kinds of enjoyment and culture at the towns of Nova Levante, Steinegg, Obereggen, Tires, Nova Ponente and Petersberg.
- Gr÷den/Seiser Alm (1060-2500 m) - The Val Gardena is extremely well known, thanks also to the world cup championships, and so it is superfluous for us to go into great length about the 175 km of descent pistes of every type which are served by numerous, modern ski-lift systems. For those who wish to test their ability with a breathtaking descent, there is the Ciampin˛i piste. The area of Seceda is quite beautiful, especially on its sunny side. The Siusi Alps, at the foot of the SciliÓr and Sassolungo mountains is so acclaimed
that there is no need for us to give a description here. The descents are
generally easy; the cross country ski tracks are superb, with guaranteed snow; the pistes at the highest altitudes, and also the most demanding, are the "Goldknopf" (1900-2150 m) and the "Joch" (1800-2078m). Trips by horse drawn sleighs are very popular. The towns can offer a variety of entertainment as well as a number of cultural events.
- Alta Badia/Hochabteital (1350-2778 m) - It is superfluous for us to extol the famous ski circuit of the Ladin Alta Badia, included in the Dolomiti-Superski system, which also reaches as far as Cortina. The whole of the Dolomite area is completely dedicated to winter sports; the ski lift systems are too many to count, and the 130 km of slopes through the Monti Pallidi mountains are able to satisfy all your desires. Thanks to its central location, the area is the ideal departure point for the most marvellous panoramic skiing excursions, such as the well known "Sella-Ronda" passing through four high altitude passes, also the route along the front lines of the first World War and the trip to the Marmolada glacier. The Para di San Cassiano piste is great for snowboards. Enthusiasts of alpinism on skis must not miss the daredevil descent from the Sella down along the Val de Mesdý valley (Colfosco). For cross country skiers, there are 40 km of well traced tracks; and for lovers of the snow sled, there are tracks prepared at Corvara, San Cassiano and La Valle. As far as regards aprŔs-ski, you will simply be spoilt for choice!
