Carisolo is situated in a sunny area at the entrance of the Val di Genova, at the foot of the southern sides of Cima Lancia (2.317 m). The parish church is dedicated to San Nicola. On the top of the rock overlooking the River Sarca, near the village, stands the ancient church of Santo Stefano.
From Carisolo leads the road to the Val di Genova whose first part, up to the Nardis waterfall, belong to the municipality.
Sporting facilities: fitness circuit, tennis courts, football field, bowls court; free climbing, fitness centre, squash courts, permanent orienteering track. Other sports: sports angling, mountain-biking, hiking. Playground for children.
