The Adamello-Brenta Nature Park is the largest protected area in Trentino. The natural environment here is typical of the central and southern Alps, with majestic forests, pastures and hight mountain flora. As well as brown bears, a host of other animals live in the Park, including red deer and chamois, roe deer and marmots. Andalo, Molveno and Fai della Paganella provide ideal bases for visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of these wild inhabitants in their magnificent surroundings: excursions and guided walks, including to the hight tops, take place almost daily.
Lower down, visitors to the Park are struck by the crystal clear waters of Lake Molveno. The lake still teems with fish, living testimony to the care which generations of local people have bestowed on their ecosystem. Mount Paganella can be reached swiftly by a number of lifts and cable cars. In summer its slopes and ridges offer an endless variety of routes for walkers and climbers, while the summit affords an incomparable view in all directions over Trentino and Dolomites.
