Massa Martana is the most important town and also the administrative town of a
vast agricultural territory full of human settlements gathered around ancient
castles and villas of particular beauty. During the last years the town has

The town stands on the top of a cliff at the foot of Mounts Martani, almost in
the centre of Umbria, between Perugia and Terni, the two administrative seats of

ancient romans is confirmed by the Fonnaia Bridge, dated III century b.C. Close
to the village it is possible to visit the marvelous christian catacombs
realized around the III-V century a.D. Within the entire commun and village one
can find plenty of churches along the Flaminia way, among which shoud be
reminded Santa Maria di Pantano, San Faustino, Santa Illuminata, Santi Fidenzio
e Terenzio, Santa Maria della Pace and finally San Pietro super aquas.
