Giano dell'Umbria is placed on a hill wich dominates the valley between Montefalco and Spoleto. Typical roman and medieval centre. In the village centre inside Palazzo Comunale is possible admire some Roman relics found in a vila situated in a sourrounding countryside.
Today its economies activities are connected to agricolture like oil mills and pasta factories. There are many structures to visit like the Church of San Michele, Church of San Francesco, Castagnola Castle but also folklore and events like festival of the patron Sa Felice and the stages of oil in December. Giano dell'Umbria became an indipendent commune in 1930.
