Brusson is an important municipality, placed in the middle of the Evançon valley, better known as the valle di Ayas, which is very well known thanks to its amenities for Nordic skiing. Places to visit are the churches, such as the parish church of San Maurizio and the chapels of Pasquier and San Valentino dating from the sixteen hundreds; or indeed the church of San Giovanni Battista (St. John the Baptist) at Lignod, with the Universal Judgement frescoed on its facade. On the road to Col di Joux, the Trou de Rompailly, an ancient tunnel dug out of the limestone, has given rise to a long series of stories about fairies, treasure and other mysterious happenings. The Col di Joux is at an altitude of 1640 metres and connects the Valle di Ayas with Saint-Vincent and the Valle Centrale. From here it is possible to admire a unique panorama over the Dora Baltea valley.
