A boat to experience the fascinating Brenta river cruising.
Every year from March to October, the boats popularly rechristened Burchiello cruise along the Brenta River.
Revived in 1960, the service is a modern edition of the 18th c. barge that was the first regular boat service connecting Venice to Padua.
Celebrated by poets and described by Italian and foreign novelists, the barge was the symbol of a bygone era.
The barge was oar-propelled across the lagoon, and then horse drawn along the river Brenta.
At Brenta Riviera, there is tourist accommodation available in hotels, farm holiday, farmhouse, residence self-catering accommodation, b&b, rooms for rent, holiday homes, camp sites and tourist villages.
