Founded in 1975, Gardaland is the largest amusement park in Italy; located at Castelnuovo del Garda in the province of Verona, it is close to Lake Garda itself. The park stretches over an area of over 200,000 square metres and contains a variety of attractions which are able to conjure up unique sensations both for grown ups and for children. There are mechanical rides and water rides, as well as perfectly reconstructed theme areas including: the Far West, Egypt, Hawaii, the Far East and many more besides.
The better known attractions include: the Magic Mountain, the Blue Tornado, the Corsairs, the Colorado boat, the Parablu and the fantastic Gardaland Theatre; the park is well equipped with a large variety of facilities such as hotels, restaurants, fast food outlets, shops and plenty of areas of green which surround the whole park. Gardaland is visited every year by approximately three million tourists, since it represents an enchanting environment dedicated to youngsters, to the family and also to all those wishing to simply enjoy themselves. At the entrance, visitors will receive a warm welcome from Prezzemolo, the master of the house.
