The museum, located in the neoclassical Villa Ferraioli frescoed by G. B. Caretti, gathers in 23 halls, material from the Paleaolithic to the late Middle Ages, mainly originating from the Roman settlements in the area. Remarkable exhibits: a 5th-century polychrome clay head of a Latin warrior. Among the palaeolithic finds: an Elephas Antiquus tusk and other stone and pottery finds and pointed flints.
