Cercivento, Ligosullo, Paluzza, Treppo Carnico

In the Church of S.Maria in Paluzza there is a 16th century wooden altar with nine statues. Near by there is the Moscardo tower, which is what remains of a Medieval castle. In Timau, the village before the border crossing of Mount Croce Carnico, the battles fought during the First World War are commemorated in the "war memorial" and "museum" dedicated to Carnia during the Great War.
Excursions to the trenches excavated on the nearby mountains are also possible. Not far away, at 1,300 m, there is the Valdajer castle (Ligosullo), built before the 15th century and rebuilt after being destroyed in the First World War.
